A spectator has been killed after an incident in which the Nissan GT3 sportscar driven by Britain’s Jann Mardenborough left the track during a race at the Nürburgring on Saturday.

I didn't see anything overtly graphic in the video, other than knowing the fatality. Flat bottom car takes flight over the crest in road.

Probably not a bad idea to add NASCAR roof flaps to them

Do NASCAB roof flaps open when the car's front end lifts...in a straight line? Not certain they do. The real cause is that particular SPOT on that particular TRACK. Lots of "airborn" photos from there. This one went all wrong. Many "blow-over" incidents from Mercedes at LeMans to Porsches at Road Atlanta...If these modern day sports cars had raced at Meadowdale? (BIG drop on long main straight!)...they'd STILL be in orbit! Cause?...rapid track surface elevation change!
