Let's see, potential investors are encouraged because F1 is expanding "away from traditional European venues and into places like Singapore and Abu Dhabi." But, "F1's TV revenue is down because fans have deserted the sport during a string of underwhelming seasons." Gee, do ya think that maybe the move to underwhelming, boring, cookie cutter tracks in countries that don't give a hoot about racing could have something to do with the fans deserting the sport?

They would be insane to place themselves under the thumb of a bunch of people who care for nothing beyond very short term cash returns. :shakehead:

IPOs are interesting. It's either a money grab for shareholders or they are in need of a cash infusion. I think regardless, they could structure it so they still maintain all control. Be like owning stock in the Green Bay Packers.
