I was hoping he would make it.

:(

Still had the needle in his arm, apparently. (http://nypost.com/2014/02/02/philip-seymour-hoffman-found-dead-in-his-apartment/)

I was very sad to hear the news of his death.

He played some very interesting characters.

Drugs are a surge on society.

Does anyone else check out a famous person's Wiki when they hear/read news like this? This may be the first time I've gone there with no update to the page already. I thought maybe from the initial post I had missed this in the last couple of days, but I guess it just happened.

:(

I just recognized him last week in a re-run of "Twister". He played the comic relief character.

I really liked him "Charlie Wilson's War"

He played a drug addict in "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead"

I wonder if he scored from the Mickey D's that just got busted by my place for happy meal smack :gomer:

Reports are that he had 70 bags of heroin in his apartment so he probably had a volume discount with someone.

I read recently about how opiate addiction plagued China for centuries (helped by the Brits who liked the trade) and only ended under Mao when he killed maybe 70 million addicts.

NY Times story on his last days. (http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/06/nyregion/a-complicated-actor-philip-seymour-hoffman-in-his-last-days.html?hp&_r=0)

Pretty sad.

Ah man, he was also in "Pirate Radio". When I come to power, I will insist that everyone who makes me laugh expire of old age.
