So just exactly who gets to hear the IMS radio network? It surely isn't on the dial out here in the Land O' Zion...

A number of years ago I got my hands on an IMS Radio Network contract. Radio broadcasts were provided to stations at zero cost (IMS got to sell commercials - but left some space in for the local station to sell ads too)

Stations were required to broadcast both the 400 and the 500. You couldn't carry just one. At one point, you also had to carry 3 IRL races, but that requirement could be waived for $500.

Ha! A quick google search revealed the contracts: http://media.indycar.com/multimedia/ims-radio-network

Same deal. Carry the 500 and 400 plus 3 other races, get it all free. Or pay 500 bucks, and carry just the 500 and 400.

And they'll throw in 2 race tickets and 20 qualifications tickets for the 500 and/or 400.
