When asked if he could win one of the final four grands prix, he replied: "No. We have stopped developing the car and Red Bull are a long way ahead."

"That is not going to happen. But we can get some really solid points, and I reckon we can get back on the podium."

Vettel chalked up his eighth win of the season and his fifth in a row last time out in Japan, prompting Hamilton to see no reason why the German won't win the next remaining races.

"If he doesn't have any reliability issues, [which is] most likely, then why not? I am willing to put money on it. He's just walking it."

I think the rest of the competition has come to the realization that Adrian Newey "found something" in the latter part of the season and they are unable to keep up.

At this point its a waste of time and money to keep fighting.
