The Porsche 918 Spyder is a mid-engined sports plug-in hybrid designed by Porsche and first shown as a concept at the 80th Geneva Motor Show in March 2010. The Spyder is powered by a 4.6 liter V8 engine, developing 608 horsepower with two electric motors delivering an additional 279 horsepower for a combined output of 887 horsepower.

It is the second plug-in hybrid car from Porsche, after the 2014 Porsche Panamera SE-Hybrid. Porsche intends to manufacture 918 units.

The starting price is expected to be around $845,000.

A V8 in a Porsche? That does not sound correct.

And besides, opening the hood would reveal little more than the 608-hp, 4.6-liter V-8’s exhaust piping...
The description is accurate, but it's still wrong. :p

The Porsche 928 is a sports-GT car that was sold by Porsche AG of Germany from 1978 to 1995. Originally intended to replace the company's iconic 911, the 928 combined the power, poise, and handling of a sports car with the refinement, comfort, and equipment of a luxury sedan to create what some Porsche executives thought would be a vehicle with wider appeal than the compact, quirky and sometimes difficult 911.

Since its inception in 1949, Porsche has manufactured only six front-engined models, four of which were coupes, including the 928. The car has the distinction of being the company's only coupe powered by a front-mounted V8 engine, and the company's first mass-produced V8 powered model.

:gomer:

You could put all the names of all the British Leyland cars of the late '60s in a hat and you'd be guaranteed to pull out a despicable, rotten-to-the-core mockery of a car.
