Hi all.
I had to reformat my computer last weekend as I got a bug/virus or something. Fortunately, it was very minor. A question and a request please........

1) Anyone whose e-mail address that I had and/or would not mind corresponding with me, please Private Message me your e-maill addy.
Thanks in advance! :)

2) Can anyone who uses anti-virus programs or who really knows which ones are reallly good and/or well rated, can you please let me know what to get? :(

Thanks,
Terri

I prefer Norton over Mcafee.

I agree. I have used both and believe Norton to be more comprehensive. I also think its easier to clean/remove a virus with Norton. Norton also scans outgoing email to insure that you are not unwillingly passing along a virus.

happy Norton user here, both for AV and for firewall (security), and I have used McAfee before. The change was due to getting a 6 month trial with some new computers we purchased. No need or desire to go back to McAfee.

I did use norton (till the subscription thing ran out) and never had a problem, but since then I have been really impressed with AVG (and its free)

For a firewell i use sygate personal firewall

Both are free and easy to download and easy to use :)

AVG Antivirus (http://www.grisoft.com/)

Sygate Personal Firewall (http://www.sygate.com)
