The Houston Grand Prix has a booth at this years boat show here in Houston. This is the car they have in the booth.

Isn't this false advertising?

Absolutely false advertising. But, the *new* eyeballs Mark Miles needs can't tell the difference...and ol' Mark told us to erase the past from our memories so who knows, duuuhh...maybe that is what they are racing in Houston.:p

In addition to the fraudulent Reynard, didn't they dump Firestone?

Nope. Firestone re-signed through 2018.

But still, if you're the Indycar target audience (whomever he/she/it may be) do you care about difference between a DW12 and a Reynard? This is a race that is using a cartoonized ZOOM on a poster in the background. They're not appealing to gearheads.

There aren't exactly a bunch of spare DW-12s to be used for this kind of thing.

Oh come on Ed....they had 15 years worth of gen 1 and 2 crapwagons to choose from. Surely they couldn't all be in the garages and showrooms of the handful of fans the IRL has. Heck, 33 of 'em were in Market Square before last years Super Bowl.

For that matter, they coulda stuck a formula ford or vee out there and no one would be at the both either.

"Doubleheaders are something we wanted to introduce this year to improve the fan experience on a given race weekend. With two races, there certainly is a lot more for the fans to experience,”

Unbelievable - 'cause that is what was missing? NOW things will be all better. :shakehead

New slogan - "It might be crap racing with crap cars, but you will get twice as much..."
