Let's see who gets closest to the final rating. Given the lack of advertising and the season so far, I'm guessing a 3.9.

Would that continue the increase in TV viewership we hear so much about?:)

Yep, just another step in the five year plan to be more popular than F1 and NASCAR.

You folks realize Tony George hasn't run things for 3 yrs. now? Sure doesn't seem like it.

To the OP, I'm going low, 3.5, for this year. SparklePony in NASCAR, no Centennial, negativity this month etc. Oh well.

I also realize from past repetitive history not to chug anything that comes from 16th and Georgetown. :tony:

Maybe I watch way too much ESPN, but I'm so sick of the 500 commercial that begins with the original Gomer singing Back Home Again In Indiana while they show a zillion shots of .1RL 500s ending with some guy (Helio?) climbing the fence and a group kissing the bricks. If I had a nickel for every time it has aired in the last three weeks, I could retire. They're hyping it to death.

For a second it looks like the real Indy 500 I used to know and used to love until they show one of those in-car shots from whatever ugly crapwagon they were running that year giving the viewer a good look at the car.

I haven't watched since Villeneuve won and don't plan on ending this streak this year, but my ratings guess is 3.9. There are lots of 'em born every day.

With all of the PLACE fans staying home because it might be a little warm, they could get a small bump USA TODAY isn't going to cover it

"Fast national" appears to be... 4.3. If that stays, and fast nat. #'s usually do, that's a slight increase from last yr.'s 4.0. Slight chance it beats the Coke 600 too.

TKG already posted 4.1 as the initial rating, so the dead cat bounce in already baked into the 4.3. Tallest dwarf... :shakehead
