DW12 tech videos

I found these two DW12 tech videos interesting.

Seems to me like they built a champcar. 2.2L turbo with venturi tunnels third element suspension. Yea. the rear wheel flarings are ugly, but personally after seeing Jeff Krosnoff and Dan Wheldon die from touching wheels, the rear bumpers make sense to me. I think that in a few years, it will be considered like roll bars, a dumb idea not to have.

You advocating canopies or something like it?

I think that if they stay committed to no more pack racing, it will greatly reduce, not eliminate, risk. Still, Mike Conway should have died two yrs. ago at IMS. That wasn't pack racing and was definitely a case where the bumpers could have helped. Do I like the look? No, but stay they must.
