Don't be too hard on Utah. They are just learning to drink. They don't even let a bartender mix/pour a drink in front of you... just in case you might figure out how to do it yourself I suppose. ;)

what is the pricetag on 30 cans anyways? I gotta be honest - back in the good ol days when ontario didn't sell on the sabbath, there were many a sunday we went to a party store in detroit and bought 30 blatz for 8 bucks or so...

In Ohio a 30 goes for ~$17. No worse than the big boys' fizzy yellow. When I want cheap & quantity it's my goto. But we gots Yuengling now, so I've been buying lots of that. :burp:

In 1979 a 12 of Buckhorn was 2.29 in Marquette, MI

But my roommate and I would split a 1/4 barrel of Stroh's for about 16 bucks about once a week and leave it on the porch. That way, no matter who showed up before or after a hockey game and no matter the hours of the day, there was always beer.

I had a good share of this when I moved out of the house and went to California...I don`t remember the price of these stubbies, but it must have been real cheap.

I'm so glad to live in microbrewland, where we have brewers that aren't afraid of hops.

Best I've had is Georgetown Lucille IPA (85 IBU), but it's a bitch to get. On tap or growler only.

They are lagers and most of them are adjunct lagers. None of them qualify as a pilsner. There are many fine hophead offerings here too :thumbup: cheers.

Back when I was in high school in New York, 30 some odd years ago, we sought out Molson's as our beer of choice. In college at Iowa State we had a keg cooler in one of the rooms and we had a keg on tap 24/7 the entire time were were there. Whatever was cheapest. The flunk out rate for incoming freshmen was >50%...

I needed a pulse and the check to clear to enter college, but it was unforgiving otherwise. On the first day of class the professors often warned us, "Half of you will be gone by Thanksgiving"

Consequences 101 was a class a lot of people flunked because they never realized they had signed up for it but the school forgot to print it on their schedules.

My roommate and I passed that class so well that by sophomore year we had the forethought to save and not return Old Milwaukee 12 packs for the deposit so we would have enough gas money for the trip home at the end of the year.
