So, Milwaukee out (again?) and Fontana back in? See, that just about says it all. Be LOTS of electronic advertising space on the aluminum. Night race so the flames show up better on TV. :shakehead

They should run at Fontana and Michigan. If they can't put on a show there, then they should fold it up.

They should get in the Go Karts I race at Cal Speed in the Fontana parking lot. It would be a better show.

They couldn't sell it before...23 race markets in USA are tarnished by the IRL Gimmickwagon, so now all of a sudden it's gonna sell?

ISC must be doing track rentals now, who in their right mind would want the IRL anywhere?

Yeah I think the year after Indycar left in 2005, NASCAR decided it would be better suited as a night race so that all the bare aluminum wouldn't reflect the sunlight so no one would know that southern Californians don't care about NASCAR.

I suppose it is better than roasting in the southern California sun.

Yes, it is. Although the last time I was there it was worth it. Vasser and Zanardi were racing each other like lunatics. No aluminum that day.:cry:

Remember the two fans popping up through the computer generated wipe out of the empty seats a Phoenix in the early years of the IRL?

Yeah, I think I commented once that my dad told me stories of fans actually doing that, THROUGH THE TRACK, at rotted out spots in the high bank board track at Maywood Illinois in the 20s. He always told me Frank Lockhart would have "cleaned Andretti's clock!":D...or he'd say "Andretti couldn't carry Lockhart's helmet!" and I'd say "I don't think Lockhart even HAD a helmet!"
