Visiting Philly this year? Groupon has half price tickets for the museum here (http://www.groupon.com/philadelphia/). Discounted tickets on sale for the next couple days and good through 12/25/2011.

The museum's website here (http://www.simeonefoundation.org/?page_id=43).

Check the calendar for demonstration days.

Absolutely worth the trip.

Not much to see from the outside -- in a warehouse district in the shadows of the Sunoco refinery but it is a really impressive collection or finely restored cars presented very well.

Several weekend a year they will fire up a few and parade them in the parking lot. And they have guest speakers present from time to time.

Do it.

This could be the description of the Nethercutt Museum (Merle Norman Collection) in Sylmar. Amazing stuff. Sometimes you're lucky enough to catch them running them around the nearly deserted roads out there.

Heck, if you are in the area you could do that one, the Peterson, and this one all in the same trip!

I've never gotten out there to the hinterland but always meant to. If I can get to the Mullin in Oxnard, I should be able to get to Riverside! Let's plan on it.
