Found this link over on the ALMS fans board... AMR LMP1 practice at Monza..

This is what a racecar is SUPPOSED to sound like!! The stutter off the slow corners is the traction control kicking in (that turbo comes in fast and strong!) on a wet/damp track.

The car isn't pretty, IMHO, but that sound...:thumbup:

My thoughts in a nutshell.

I still marvel... 2.0l I-6, direct injection and a single turbo. "Only" making ~685hp right now... Only using a 6spd sequential xtrac... Butt ugly but aero-efficient chassis...

Think about how much more attractive an AMR coupe (a-la Bentley "speed 8" circa 2012) might be.

Note to David Richards: The powertrain is enticing, but the package needs some esthetic revision. Racecars are supposed to be fast and sexy.. This one is neither at present, but several facets of the stone are beginning to come around. ;) Don't give up.
