All it takes is one group of asshats... It seems that the Paul Bird Motorsport/Kawasaki Racing Team transporters were carrying a bit more than superbike parts upon their recent return to England. "A bit more" being defined as 8 kg of cocaine, 100 kg of pot, 71 kg of speed and a gun w/ 35 rounds. :shakehead
None of it was even hidden within the transporter. It seems that customs in Europe regularly give major racing teams a pass at the border because tearing apart a racing transporter is hugely time consuming. Seems these tools were banking upon that. Well now the Customs folks are rethinking that policy and Ron Dennis may have to deal with filthy customs fingerprints all over the inside of his trucks after the race in Turkey...
