Conway, now fully recovered from injuries sustained in a crash in May at the end of the Indianapolis 500, was expected to land somewhere for the 2010 IZOD IndyCar Series season. But it was thought he would end up back at Dreyer & Reinbold.

Instead, he dropped a surprising announcement Tuesday: He's joining Ryan Hunter-Reay, Danica Patrick and Marco Andretti on Michael Andretti's team.

Don't ask me why I posted this. Killing time...:)

An ex-GP2 driver and an ex-Honda F1 test driver. One of the many thoracic vertebra fracture victims of the IRL.

The correct answer is: "about 150 lbs." :gomer: :p

He's a fence tester.

OK that's funny. Sick, but funny.

I'm glad he is alive let alone driving again.

Quite the come down for Andretti though. Ryan Hunter-Reay, Danica Patrick, Marco Andretti and Mike Conway. What's that, two weak wins among them? Couldn't afford to pay the freight for Kanaan, Franchitti, Wheldon, who else?

Not exactly the NH team Michael and his Dad drove for is it?

This is Conway's big crash. A good argument for ending open wheel cars on ovals. Regardless, if you are Conway, and you went through that, are you going to continue to buy rides in the League? What is he thinking?

Herta also jumped (or was pushed) from the Andretti ship.

RHR has a good head on his shoulders, but is he going to have to carry the load for Princess Sparklepony and Marco when it comes to car set up? Weren't he and Kanaan in charge of that department last year?

On a sort-of related note, PT is out there stating that no one will give him a ride for the $1 million in sponsorship he brings with him. (The Twitter catfight between PT, Tommy Kendall and Vasser has been outstanding this past week or so.)

can you piece it together or give a brief run down?

TK said deSilvestro is a good driver and good to see her back in the league with a sponsor. PT took offense to that, threw some barbs at Vasser for not offering him a ride. Vasser responds that PT & fans shouldn't be upset with team owners, that they can't run their teams on sympathy & relationships alone.

Basically PT being the spoiled child he always has been.

Kendall has some screen grabs of a text exchange between them as well. PT needs to refocus his anger to the factors that have created the situation where he is jobless.

Nobody can afford to throw away cars at a PT rate these days.

No one wants a guy who can't beat a drifter. :D
