Does anyone know what is planned for the weekend? NHMS is only selling race-day tickets for now.

From what I've seen, its pretty hard to make a three day weekend out of an indycar event unless Its a combined weekend with ALMS OR ITS A GOOD TRACK in a good location with alot to do. I can only sit around the camp for so long.
I spent three days camping with Dad at Barber last year and wanted to kill him by the end of it

Okay, so the announcement wasn't what some people indicated, the American TV package is the same as the previous two years but they did get some TV coverage of Indy Lights, even if its at a time when no one will watch it.

I just read the transcript from the Indycar "state of the union" address. All I can say is that those folks really like themselves. The whole address was a lot of "boy are we gonna be great" and "look at all the new people we hired". Unfortuantely Mr. Barnhart is still patting himself on the back too. And no mention of standing starts? Blah, blah, blah. Randy, be careful, you ain't been there that long. And...finally a photo of the 3 sisters? The ugly stick was busy when this trio was born. These tootsies couldn't get an offer at bar time! I am alarmed at how little the "State of the series" has been discussed just about anywhere... even here....

It's quite apparent that the leaches on the ims payroll figured out pretty quick that all they had to do was pull the wool over the 3 sisters and they'd be able to cash their checks. I read a nauseating piece from a few weeks ago by none other than miller himself, about the story of the 3 sisters finding rodeo Randy. Everyone from aj to Mario to Barnhart think the guy is the next messiah.
If I were rodeo Randy i'd be planning an exit stategy where the taxpayers of Indy fund a series of dallaras for one 500 mile race each may. The money can come out of the historical preservation fund. :gomer:

Dude knew nothing about racing five years ago and now is supposed to drag it out of the sewer?

How about a formula which allows people to build their own cars?????????????

Use their own engines??????????????????????????????????????????? ????

more of the same................... and they have to use the Earl sled another year, before they get the new Earl sled (which is a POS)

Maybe you're one of those fans who believes that the IRL's current woes are a result of some grand conspiracy involving NASCAR, corporate America and ABC/ESPN... I don't know. One fellow even suggested to me that sunspots are affecting the ratings. How that would JUST affect IRL races and not other programming, he didn't seem to have that part of his theory worked out.:rofl::rofl:

Good enough. Someone reminded me yesterday that the IRL has a race in New Hampshire this weekend (today). Of course it's raining now. And there's a 70% chance of rain tomorrow morning and night. I'm not sure there gonna get this one in.

Just when I think this can't get any worse...

Vasser & Andretti both look like they're going to shank someone in race control.

ETA-I love Power throwing Barnhart under the bus, even if it is going to cost his checkbook dearly. And what is this nonsense about race control having no way of knowing that the drivers were screaming about the track conditions? That sounds like complete and utter BS to me.

It was sprinking at the track & the race was under yellow. Pit reporters are saying that the drivers are all hollering that they shouldn't thrown the green. Post-race, BB says that race control heard not one peep from the drivers to counteract what the track observers were saying. The observers felt that it was dry enough to go green. It obviously wasn't, so cue up the Yakety Sax as cars go spinning every which way. Power flips the double bird at race control on the way back to the garage and calls for BBs head on a platter during his interview.

With 19 to go, they throw the yellow for moisture. Apx 10 laps later, under WETTER conditions with drivers saying "Don't go green!", dumb@@@ goes green, carnage ensues, Servia probably won, but Barnhart goes back to the previois lap. Power gives, on nat'l tv, the double-barreled salute, then calls for BB's head.

The other cars got through the turn without losing the back end, and you can see smoke coming off cars' tires as they try to avoid hitting something, so there was enough friction to generate smoke. If it's truly wet, you don't get smoke.

Brainfart's fault was not taking into consideration Danica's incompetence.
