RIP Leslie.

He was Canadian, per TV. There are an amazing number of Canadians in the US entertainment industry.

I have seen some of his dramatic roles when he was younger, and for what ever reason they don't seem to click. Might have been his acting, or the script, or the directing. Comedy was his calling, the deadpan delivery and great sense of timing. Hardly a day goes by without somebody around me quoting one of his movie lines. RIP Leslie. :(

Surprising how many Canadien/Canadian entertainers (and drivers come to think of it) are "top shelf" too (Not that Nelson was "Shakespearian" or anything, but he didn't embarrass himself or his country either.)

Lt. Frank Drebin: I'm single! I love being single! I haven't had this much sex since I was a Boy Scout leader!
[Music stops playing. Everyone stops talking and stares at him]
Lt. Frank Drebin: I mean at the time I was dating a lot.

"I played a lot of leaders, autocratic sorts; perhaps it was my Canadian accent."
