2004 Fontana Schedule to Be Released (http://www.montereyherald.com/mld/montereyherald/sports/6080359.htm)

Will CART be on the schedule? Interesting speculation.

Here's the announcement of the NASCAR race (A Sunday night race) http://dbserver.iscmotorsports.com/CaliforniaSpeedway/headlines.cfm?HeadlineStoryID=11453&TemplateDisplayMode=2

Their season ticket package includes all races at the track, except for the CART event.

With this line hopefully it is on. I'd hate to lose all superspeedways.

"Individual CART Champ Car World Series tickets for 2004 will go on sale in December of 2003."

Does anyone recall whether or not the earl tickets for Fontana were included in the NASCAR package last year? I can't believe that the market can continue to bear such an obvious screwing from the tracks. Some day even NASCAR fans will wake up.

The IRL race wasn't included in the Preferred seating season ticket deal!

EARL draws 10,000 to their race, and CAl speedway are favouring them??
no wonder the 2002 EARL race there was listed as TBA ;) $$$$$$$$

Oh. My. God!
I am Sooooooooo surprised!
There's NFW anyone could see this coming!

ISC is backing Tony's horse. Nuff said. The market forces have driven the ovals outta CART's hands. It's time to focus on making CART the great American road-racing series that it can be!

I guess at least this time around when the race gets dropped there won't be any bickering and arguing about ew killed ew.

More and more boring by the day. Streets, parking lots and the odd natural terrain road course. Not what I signed up for.

Clearly a move to ruin the CART race for 2004 and get rid of the event.
