Call it luck or the Midas touch, Paul Newman had a gift for finding success in life whether as an actor on stage or in film, or even, as an entrepreneur in the boardroom or the basement, for that matter. As the story goes, his food company Newman's Own got its start in Newman's basement with a homemade salad dressing that he prepared and gave to friends as gifts. The dressing was a hit, and the rest is history.

The company gives all after-tax profits to charity, and on Wednesday it annouced it has surpassed $300 million in charitable donations since its founding in 1982.

We've certainly contributed our part to the cause. Such great stuff. Kids love the new frozen pizzas.

The best ever, tastes just like the regular recipe. Use it daily.

The steaksauce is incredible. We use spag sauce for quickie homemade pizzas and other stuff. Lemonade is really good. Several salsas on the shelf. Italian dressing is a staple for cold pasta salad or tossed green salad. Have not tried the frozed pizzas yet.
