It's an odd looking beast (http://www.redbull.com/cs/Satellite/en_INT/Video/X1--Sebastian-presents-his-dream-car-021242920284532)

Red Bull sure has no shortage of pr cash to toss about...

Yeah this is a joint venture between Red Bull Racing and my personal favorite racing game Gran Turismo. They wanted to have the undisputed fastest, craziest, more insane race car out there and of course, to do that, who else would you go to but Adrian Newey. It is kind of an interesting insight into just how restrictive the rules in F1 are. There's a downforce diagram at the bottom of the page I linked to. It's amazing how much that vacuum fan underneath the car contributes to the downforce of the car. Plus, the 2 big advantages of that over a wing is that 1: there's no added drag. And 2: It doesn't matter how fast or slow the car is going because a fan doesn't require air flow over the car.

Supposed to be released next month. If it does, it might be the first release date $ony has met for GT.

Forza is the Xbox competitor for GT.

Yeah if only. This one was supposed to release on this Tuesday after almost 6 years of waiting but due to a ridiculous Sony mandate they have had to bump it's release back to "Holiday Season 2010" :(

I fear that my 6 year old son will soon force me to acknowledge that game systems actually do exist:laugh:

That wasn't it, they missed their final build by 2 days so it didn't make it into the factory schedule in time, because other stuff for other orders needs to be printed it got bumped.

Yes but they only missed it because at the last second Sony sent out a memo saying that all games coming out after October must be up to date with the latest firmware. It took them 3 days to do that, and it caused them to miss the deadline. Oh well. The new dates that I'm hearing are all hovering around the early December time so I guess its not so bad...

The apex was bad in that game. Straight lines were way better. The green car has it perfect, straight line the turns.

Hey....

I remember that..... neither car seems to be doing it right. You needed to drift around the turns for the best lap times.

I think that was only on the ice track.

There is that danger. I've known some kids who got so addicted to games that they literally cannot do anything else. They turned into total social retards by middle school. Grades ain't so good either. But man, their thumbs sure are in great shape. :D
