It's a city park, and is financially self-supporting. Why should Portland subsidize construction to help Pook make more money?
Of course, publicly-subsidized private profit at public risk is the American way... :flame:

Plowed under is an unlikely option. The track is booked solid. People are building tracks in rural areas 100+ miles away to host club track days because the demand is heavy so it's unlikely PIR will run out of bookings anytime soon.
Races are an altogether different issue though and since Champ Car folded NASCAR West has been the only race held there.
