One of the more spectacular starts to an F1 race. Back then most teams had spare cars in the garage and when the race was red flagged and deemed a non start, many of the drivers hustled back to the pits and strapped into these spares for a new start.

I remember watching that live and about crapping myself.

How many millions of dollars of damage occurred in just under 1 minute.....

Memorable start for certain. Given the weather in the Ardenne I suppose a "big one" is always a possibility. It managed to rip up a certain famous bicycle race last month as well.

Spectacular as in : hair-raising, dramatic, breathtaking.

The same race also had another dramatic incident involving Schumacher and Coulthard. The Chin was about to lap Square Jaw when Coulthard lifted to let Schumacher pass and MS runs into the back of him.

Watch for Schumacher's epic meltdown and confrontation with Coulthard in the pits.
