Look... I'm not trying to start animosity...

I just think it's a logical question...

(saw today on speed) (of course cause fenders are there)

It would cost money. Maintenance does not seem to be high on the Hulman-George priority list.

does the motogp use it

Nope, they run counter-clockwise, so they start and head towards the oval's Turn 1, opposite of the F1 grid. MotoGP grid is also completely different from the F1 grid with rows of 3 for MotoGP and rows of 4 for Moto2 and the 125s.

Perhaps it is because they have no shame.

They should sandblast the stink from the past 14 years off the place while they're at it.

Because if F1 comes back they won't have the cost of repainting :gomer:

I'm surprised the IRL hasn't started to use the road course. Too costly to prepare? I think standing starts is the only thing left for them to take from ChampCar's carcass.

Actually I think you would use a bath of tomato juice for that.

I thought someone else bought all of those?

I think one or two ended up in Euro BOSS (or whatever they call it over there), a few remained with the teams that bought them originally, and the rest are in the hands of Jerry and Kevin. But I've been wrong before...

Didn't that whackjob Ben Johnson buy most of them to create some "Green" racing series that never happened?

I remember the rumours, I'm just unclear as to whether it ever happened.

Because they want to pretend that past relevance translates to the present.

Yes, but then Cosworth repo'ed their engines and he was left with a lot of useless carbonfibre.

But they don't have the electronics to make them run, right?

IF he has about 50, I think he has thought about the electronics required, or at least I hope so.

Wouldn't it be fantastic to see those back on the track. I know, I'm dreaming.

Those must be Italian engines (Ferrari, Alfa?).

It says "fra gee lee"

The argument for not using the Panoz/Cosworth chassis was what again?

>>-:tony:->Its not made in Speedway. :tony: But seriously it could probably be given different aero packages too.

If you're going to sand blast something at Indy, make it Tony George. Face down naked at start/finish, and do it immediately after Jim Neighbors finishes singing "Back Home Again in Indiana." Have a live microphone on him, so that we can hear the blood curdling screams. That would bring a lot of fans back, I think.

Whoah! Good idea. I would pay full price for tickets to that.:thumbup::thumbup:

Would there be some sort of annoucement to let me know when Jim had finished and Tony started?

I might be confused otherwise, and not know which was which.

I pictured it as, .."my Indiana hoooooooooommmmmme"
(one second gap"
And then, "AAAGGAAAAAAHHHAAAAAHHHGODAAAAAAGGGHHHHGHGHGNOOOOGG HHHHH!!!" for about thirty seconds or so. Let it reduce to sobs, then hit him with a bucket of saltwater and drag him over to the flogging area.

That's kind of how I saw it, anyway.

I can swear by Massengill's douche for skunk stink on the schnauzer. Don't know how it works for IMS skank, though.

Posted just to let you know I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.... ;)
