Dude, you forgot nrc and Rosawendell. :p Not only do we have the Batmobile, we now also have Guardian Angels patrolling the streets (take note Chitown :gomer:). We also had one of these patrolling the skies yesterday afternoon:

Not a day I would have wanted to be flying around in a prop plane. :saywhat:

Earplug alert. Three big radials, an uninsulated cockpit and an open window. The Ford Trimoter is a cool old tail dragger though.

I couldn't figure out what the heck that was for the life of me until I surfed out to the OSU Airport Web site. There is supposed to a B-17 flying out of Bolton Field this weekend, but I knew that wasn't what this was. The Trimotor was literally crawling across the sky and seemed to be flying sideways @ times due to thorms in the area.

I saw the Belle flying around here last year. Truly an awesome site.

I have a photo of my mother boarding one of those on a flight from NYC to Detroit, I don't know how many times it stopped but it was a lot. It is amazing that my parents had ice delivered for the ice box, coal for the boiler came by horse drawn cart and my father's first car was a ten year old Model T.

Yeah, the Trimotor was no speed demon. It would haul the crew and 10 passengers at a whopping cruise speed of 90mph and it would burn 45gal/hr to do it. Riding in one is a bit like going to hell in a Waring blender. :D We've made a fair amount of progress in the last 85yrs....
