Photos from Friday: Working on the panning skills (and a fine way to take the day off).

I liked this class. Production Based cars, including Civics, MINIs, a Kia, and a Cobalt.

I'm just not a fan. But hey, they move, so photograph 'em.

Nice shots, looks like you had a good sunny day for it.
One question, how do you get a D300 to read ISO 100?

I think on the display it read LO1.0. I'm assuming that that nomenclature is proprietary, and it just gets translated in the metadata file as 100 (?)

The Sunoco blue and yellow make me nostalgic for the days when sedan racing meant something in this country.

Yeah, the last major race at Meadowdale and the last race I saw before getting drafted was the '68 Trans Am. Penske had Donohue and Sam Posey and they dominated, of course. The one thing I remember most was seeing in the Penske pit a refueling rig about 3 times taller than everyone else's! That "unfair advantage" led to faster pitstops and, of course, another rules change. I guess he'd been acid dipping the bodies as well to reduce weight. You know Donohue was one heck of a driver and maybe the only advantage he needed but Team Penske ruled the weekend and the season. (I think they won 10 of 12!). I missed the entire '70 season, Trans Am's best, as I was "out of country.":( The Meadowdale date went to Road America and I missed Swede and Gurney and Parnelli, Donohue, Posey, Follmer, Jim Hall, Ed Leslie, Vic Elford, Titus, Revson, WHAT A FIELD! ...and have had to endure ever since all the "Man, ya really missed it" stories from my brother, who had recently arrived back "IN country" in time to see it!:D Yep, seeing that new Camaro has "the good old days" written all over it.:)

Great post Niz. A genuine story from a true fan. I was a few years behind you, but that pic conjured up bittersweet memories of a similar #6 Camaro.

Amen brother Niz. The Sunoco livery always hits that same note with me.
