Nice history for the Eagle:

Mosley won at Milwaukee in 1975.
This car was also driven in 1975 by Bobby Unser at Michigan for third.
Al Unser at Trenton for 4th place
Mario Andretti at Phoenix for 3rd place.
John Parsons Jr. and Jim McElreath also drove the car.
Jud Phillips was the chief mechanic.

If I had the wherewithal I'd love to have the Eisert/Chevy. Looks more like a Lotus 24 inspired car than a Lotus 18, though.

oooh, there's a lot of pretty in that link.

What did the 71 McLaren look like with a body on the chassis?

That was the first year of the Lotus 72 look alike Indycar from McLaren -- the M16. Here's a model of the car Donohue won with in 1972.

I think he's talking about the Can-Am car. IIRC the M8F was the 1971 Can-Am McLaren:

Here's the 1970 M8D

This car was originally ran at Indy by Stan Wattles and then by Jon Herb at Texas.

Who?

If I ever win the lottery, I am going to exterminate those cars one by one. :)

Why one by one? Buy all the cars, get all the original drivers back (the racing doctors and such) and have 1 vintage IRL race...

They'll be exterminated by lap 10. :gomer:

How about a Vintage Oval Racing Series? Rent the cars to gomers and wipe the remaining fanbase off the map.

I saw Mosley win that Milwaukee race in the "Pepsi Challenger". Stock block Chevy, I think. (Sounded like the IRL 20 years before it was born!:D) Neat thing was he started dead last... and won. Pic, anyone? That flat rear bodywork aero effect and bright yellow paint made for a very striking appearance. Really liked Mosley. He had some terrible wrecks over the years then died in a highway crash, I believe, after retiring.

I saw Mosely win both of those Milwaukee races. Both days he was untouchable.

Yeah well the rest of us have had few too many Sugaripe prunes and things kinda got away from us...

BTW, wasn't is that the Kevin Cogan Dubonnet Ligier LC02-Cosworth from Long Beach '84? Gorgeous livery.

Yeah, I had to move the Lotus 49 and the D Type Jag to get the shot. Thankfully, the Playmates were there to give me a hand. So to speak.
