Looky here, "clarifying" the rules during the season to keep keep things close, can't wait for the debris yellows.

So what is the point of wind tunnel tests, aero design teams, and new generations of cars? A wave of the rule wand and *poof* it is all gone.

"It is not illegal, but it is not legal?

Like NASCAR, F1 appears to have a problems with holes - and I don't mean the ones in the asphalt or for the start motors. :shakehead

Right. When I think of all the great names of F1 - Schumacher, Senna, Fangio - the first thing that comes to mind is they all had unique, bizarre engine motor starters.

If there were some stability in the rules, you would see closer racing. The slower teams would see what the faster ones were doing and copy it. That's how racing works. You've got teams reacting to the rule book changes more than they're reacting to each other. It won't let Virgin catch up with Ferrari, but at least everyone knows what the rules are from one week to the next.
