Just saw something on boingboing.net the other day about it.

Lawsuit was in favor of bb.net.

Their EndUserLicenseAgreement is pretty harsh, or something.

This doesn't help with the real question, "does it work?", but I do what I can (the minimum). ;)

Also, not sure if it was MJ or another, but buddy could NOT get his volume set right. No one could hear him, but the "diagnostics" said it was fine, therefore, SOL.

What about Jupiter Jack? That one looks like it'd be more useful.

I picked one up a year ago and have not been impressed. If I weren't using it for business, it would be OK. But I've had some very spotty quality and issues when it does not recognize keypad input, like logging in for a conference call. I've also read that the MagicJack software, once installed on a PC, is nearly impossible to remove. I can't verify that, however I might, soon.

Since my network connection is DSL I have a hard time understanding the need for Magic Jack. My cell plan doesn't charge for long distance so what is the point of a Magic Jack?
