If you have never seen speedway racing it is fast and furious. Four riders on a cinder or shale track. Four lap races. Ethanol burning super light weight bikes with only one gear and no brakes. :D

My antenna pulls in about 35 channels which includes the original networks, public broadcasting and some local Spanish stations. Racing content beyond NASCAR is near zero. That bit is free.

My satellite dish pulls down several hundred channels including SpeedTV and the ever popular Versus. The top end packages which include the movie channels like HBO & Showtime cost around $120 a month. It can be as low as ~$30 if you just get a 60 channel subset.

Speedway has never enjoyed more than limited popularity in the US but it's great fun IMO. I used to arrange my business travel so I could catch the races at Costa Mesa. Perfect way to spend a warm evening. :thumb:

Yeah, HDT is a pay deal here. It ranges from stuff I'd never watch to the Isle of Man coverage. Better than I ever imagined I'd see and produced by a local IOM production company who actually know the race, know the people and care about the result. If the rally and speedway productions are anywhere near as good they should be very good indeed.
