Went there on a Sat. once to check out practice and quallies. Was told at the ticket window the place was sold out. I could only see about 50,000 empty seats...and they wouldn't let me PAY to get in. Love that NASCRAP bundle thing. DOZENS walking around outside holding up tickets asking as "low" as $60! :rofl:I will NEVER return. Someone tell me how many times they show Brisco erupting in flames on the intros.:shakehead

NASCAR didn't sell out its race at the Joliet Speedway this year.

Good. My episode was in yr. 1 or 2 down there. (League weekend) I recall a report from the track this yr. saying they were going to "review" their ticket package deal. Gee, ya think?:shakehead

So Brazil is an oval.

I don't think so. They just haven't designed a street circuit worthy of the IRL's great American street racing heritage yet. :tony:

So glad the IRL was created to promote the "Americana" of oval racing in the US. Where oh where would we be without it?

Rtd Milka Duno Dreyer & Reinbold 155 laps completed mechanical
Rtd Dan Wheldon Panther 95 laps completed mechanical

The results seem like the usual underpowered, massive downforce, and high drag crapola the IRL thinks is hot stuff on ovals. Frankly, 40+ FVs at Road America would be a lot more interesting.

So, ugly cars making ugly sounds, many driven by people you find repulsive, droning around side by side or nose to tail all night doesn't have you on the edge of your seat....? :D Does the suspense of whether douchebag A can inch by douchebag B after 15 laps of side by side no-lift motoring really rival watching slow motion beginner parallel parking drills at the driver training range down at local high school?

So in America, Freemasons wear fez's and drive miniature cars, and have parades to raise money for childrens hospitals. Wow.

Every day, something new. :)

How did TK finish ahead of Fisher and RHR if his time behind the leader (.82) was larger than theirs (.512 and .65 respectively)? Why am I even trying to make sense of this?

The drone of the cars does put one to sleep pretty easily. Though that might not be the result they're looking for.

19th also finished two seconds ahead of 18th. Is this some gomer math?

Milka Duno vs Luca Badoer

On a track they both know in equal equipment with the sun shining, who wins last place?
Discuss.

Sidebar:
On a scale of 1-10, "1" being miserably depressed and "10" being Fisi on pole, how happy are you they never met and had children that would surely have plagued the racetracks of America and Europe for decades to come.

And that it did. Put it on a couple of nights ago and drifted off. Regretting the waste of time when I have several unwatched History/Discovery documentaries on DVR I could have watched instead. Watched the last 20 laps last night. It's not even like they are on a race track, but just going in a straight line that never ends. The monotony and sheer crappy product- it's gotta end soon. I don't even like most of the drivers either. Just wish it was 1998 again and I was watching Cart. (Or maybe even 93). Most nights I have to put my tv on a timer so it shuts off, especially when I know I'll be asleep while watching garbage like this.
