No, its not a thread about Blackjack.

Its the new "sandwich" being test marketed by KFC in Providence RI, or Omaha NE.

This sandwich is what you might also call getting on the fast lane to a quadruple bypass surgery (but it sure does look good!).

The sandwich made of bacon and cheese covered in Colonel's sauce held together with two pieces of fried chicken. Yup, there's no bread in this piece of art.

:yuck: Nothing says healthy eating like a 2000 calorie, cholesterol rich pile of **** with a couple thousand milligrams of salt and an ample dose of preservatives. That thing is revolting.

We start with a generous serving of our creamy mashed potatoes, layered with sweet corn and loaded with bite-sized pieces of crispy chicken. Then we drizzle it all with our signature home-style gravy and top it off with a shredded three-cheese blend. It's all your favorite flavors coming together. (Subject to availability)

Their 'chef' must be on some really good meds.

Eat that and you don't have to worry about getting your RDA of salt.

Dude, we just take the money, load the gun, pull the hammer back, and hand it to you. If you choose to point it at yourself and pull the trigger that's a matter of personal choice... :gomer:

I agree!

How disgusting! If they served that abomination around here, I'd be of half a mind to go protest it. :flame:

So, does anyone know when it might be available in the greater Chicagoland area and what the selling price will be??

Poke a wooden stick in that thing, dip it in batter, and deep fry it, and you have the next state fair food craze!

I don't want to hijack, but this news will be disturbing for all OCers: Subway's newest ad campaign is all about adding pepperoni to their subs. Tagline? "Pepperoni is the new bacon."

I'm sorry, bacon is the new bacon. It is also the old bacon and the future bacon.

I've been thinking about this thing a lot.

I'm going to be honest here. I don't care about the nutritional value of the thing. I figure Darwin will take care of the people who eat it.

But, that doesn't mean that the KFC Double Down hasn't left me full of rage. I'm upset about something far more important. The name.

This thing had the potential to do to Chicken Cordon Bleu what the Croissan'Wich did the Croissant. But instead, they went with "Double Down." What's up with THAT?

Then again, I could just be looking for a way to blame the French.
