Yes, the Fiesta will finally be back. Unfortunately not until next year and unfortunately no 2 door hatch.

Congrats to Brack he was easily the smoothest of anyone there. And yeah the Fiesta is coming over here. Good looking car. Now if only they would bring the new Focus RS over to the states...

Focus RS:

If I had a dollar for every time I heard that.

It is a crazy time though...I saw the interior of the new Buick Lacrosse in a magazine and thought it looked fairly decent.

Great for Kenny Brack, but why aren't any real rally racers in this deal? Brian Degan in the quarter finals? Come on, man. Any top 20 WRC or IRC guys could beat Pastrana, Tanner whatever that guys name is and Brian Degan. Or is this just a show?

NismoZ
08-03-09, 11:14 AM
You have to ask? Yep, smooth describes Brack's performance. The other guys seemed to be more about "show." That's why they were there. That wreck of a course sure looked more challenging (better) than the one the bazillionaires run on in Europe. Maybe THEY are the one's who should come here Fio?

And...PS on the RS, and ditto....YESSSS! Chalk up another dollar, Sean.:) (I'm anxiously awaiting my test drive of the '10 'Speed3...I'm weakening. Cash for Clunker, ya know!

Nice for you guys. Those Euro Fords-Fiesta/Focus/Mondeo are fantastic world class cars.

There is no market for high performance small cars in the US Trevor, never mind the massive import tuner movement. :gomer:

It's beyond bizarre that these companies actually have cars that would be huge hits if they were sold in the US yet they choose not to sell them. How to fail in business 101...

Ah darn...a four door???

Then this one I saw at Go Kart World, Carson CA on July 28 is just a tease for us here that see it and it's not coming here. It was on a special USA Ford Demo Tour. Didn't get to talk to the people driving it. Saw tons of these of course on my trip to Europe that was two weeks before seeing this. Was really excited and surprised to see it in Carson, CA. (I think it was there for the X Games.) Wanted to post this when this thread was current but I reset my computer and couldn't get my Motorola Phone Tools going. Ok better late than never. You can see it's fresh off the boat as it still has the front Deutschland plate. USA, we get the dumbed down versions again while Europe and the rest of the world gets the real cars.

Welll. I caved. Increased the marker by one. No more Z. I'm now the oldest guy in America with an '010 Mazdaspeed 3. All that fun (and it IS fun) and 31.5 mpg on my way up to RA and back last week.

Congratulations on the new ride. I understand the crack on driving the car every teenage boy wants. My wife was less amused, but you can't please everyone all the time. Enjoy!

Was just checking out some spy pics today and apparently there will be a hatch version of the Fiesta available in the US.

You changed the picture. I was going to comment that the big grin on the 3 isn't nearly as offensive in black. :D

Not sure what you mean. Love the car from every angle but the front and the interior is a big upgrade over the previous model. It's been among the contenders the last couple of purchases but this year's front end really dropped it from contention to replace Missy's Speed 6.

Oh, I thought you'd get mad at the big pic, but that's EXACTLY why I chose black.:D There is NO WAY a grinning grill was going to keep me from the pleasures of driving that little car. Lord, talk about bang for the buck!? AND room for the pooch or bike! Still all :)s with 33.5 mpg on the return from RA.

Only in certain states. Illinois has them, Indiana doesn't.

definately looks better in black since the 'grill' is black

For non-black cars I wonder how it would look to pull that grill out and paint everything under that top crease body color.

Gotta be an after market opportunity there.

Most states require them but I've left them off several cars going back to when my 1989 Taurus SHO was new and I've never gotten a single comment from the police much less a citation. I keep the extra plate in the car so I can use the "just picked it up from the body shop" BS if stopped, but never had to.

Don't ever park on the street in Salt Lake City, you will get a ticket.

what oc said...but I know it'll eventually cost me...ONCE!:D I'm taking bets on how long I'll last. A warning would be nice. (the big deal in our burg is people using the 2 plates on the rear of separate cars. Not a big deal for many of them who have no driver's license, insurance or citizenship either.(guess I'm only half dumb)

Probably why the dealer didn't listen and put the front plate holder on my A6 before I flew in to pick it up. Once the holes are drilled you don't have much choice. :irked:

The Salt Lake City parking enforcement vultures cruise the entire city in a relentless search for expired registrations, missing plates and any other violation they can think of.:irked:
