Come on Pete, there is always futility in the IRL! :D I just watched Live T&S and everyone's favorite gurl racer is busy thinking up ways to blame her crew/car. Tracy again hit the ground running. Mataos looks strong as does Ed Conway. This kid is either completely absent of personality or very driven (hey, that would be a great name for a movie!). He seems like the real deal. What's his background?
But it was only the first practice session. :gomer:

Aren't they in Kentucky tonight and haven't they made aero or some sort of adjustments in a final act of desperation? I'm thinking all that's left is for them to put a car in the stands.

Yeah, I'm listening to a video link while watching the truck race. Apparently they've had lots of sidebysidebysidebyside racing and a record number of lead changes at this track. All is well again.

Ya, what's the deal with Carpenter all of a sudden running upfront like that? :saywhat: Did you see how he was basically able to drive around some cars on the outside at the beggining of the race? Reminds me of the Indy Lights race AJ IV won at Indy that first year...:laugh:

I dozed off midway through, but I really felt bad for Moraes. He had a fast car (moved from 16th to 3rd) and lost it due to getting punted in the pits by Conway. I'm sure JV has to be wondering what curse is following him.

Hey Honda - here's something that might prove useful in making your own decision:

IRL TV ratings down in Kentucky
August 7, 2009

The Meijer Indy 300 at Kentucky Speedway earned a .14 national television rating, according to Nielsen Media Research. The rating means 165,000 TV households nationwide watched the race which aired on Versus cable channel starting at 8 p.m. (Saturday) Aug. 1.

.14? .14???

:eek::laugh::rofl:

Bring Tony back! :laugh:
