BTW...UV filter = must have?

No glass this year. I think it is a good idea to have the uv filter on to protect the front element of the lens if nothing else. I have cracked two over the years, shots that would have hit the lens itself:eek: had that uv filter not been there.

If you are traveling in the high dry intermountain west a good circular polarizer will help your scenery shots especially if you are just traveling and not camping out for a day or two and waiting for the perfect time of day to get that one shot.

I worked. I always work:rolleyes:

but I did pick up my shiny new road bike, of the comfortable commuter variety. (A Trek 7.5, nothing super fancy) I really need to get back in shape and riding a bike to work towing a trailer with 40 lbs of child in it ought to do the trick. Thankfully the ride to the day care only climbs 100 feet because the ride from day care to the lab is 640' climb. Going home is a 740' down hill run. :D

Of course a decade or so ago I was regularly riding up Millcreek Canyon which is a 4800' climb....

Maybe by the end of the summer, maybe.
