I'm saving all the pennies I find on the floor of my rusted F150 so I can buy a ticket to watch an M3 vs Enzo duel at Darlington.

is he talking about premium european brands that can submit 1964 engine technology, or premium european brands that can submit stickers to reflect current design that can then be stuck to the standard POS-OT sled?

Tony must have shared his stash with Brian.

France said NASCAR will look to new companies, new technologies and, particularly, to the growing green industry.

New as in 1967 instead of 1957 pickup trucks?

Ferrari to NASCAR, you heard it here first!

I wonder how an F430 CoT will look?

Wait for the ferrari crapotype to come out next month, then widen the cabin a little, change the splitters and raise the ride height.

Just paint it red, put the tear drop headlight decals on, and don't forget the Fast and Furious rear wing. Voila!

:yuck:

Is there any carbon fiber on the CoT?

I believe just the decorative dash inlay and some door and console accents. :)

As laughable as this sounds (and it is pretty funny), what 'ol Brian is mumbling about through his 5th drink can't be totally dismissed. North America is the largest market and with F1 not racing here, CART gone and ALMS on life support the Daytona mafia have the only game left in town. :irked:

You mean the pit guy can't beat on the wing with a rubber mallet any more to increase downforce? Travesty!!

Where is a Foyt trained crew man supposed to get a job nowadays?

Would an F1 mechanic even know what to do with a bundle of zipties, a few rolls of tape and a BFH? I don't know if they are that skilled.

I don't think that Ferrari or Mercedes would be too happy if they saw their cars being beaten in by sledgehammers...

Given Jimmy Spencer's "those sons of bitches bombed Pearl Harbor" comment when Toyota entered the series, I would imagine German manufacturers would stay well away from NASCAR.

France is a third generation assbag. The Japanese only care about selling cars so they whored themselves out to NASCAR. There is no way BMW or any other European marque is going to become involved in that carnival sideshow ********.

Nope. Last I heard the splitter was made of plywood.

It ought to be easy to make CoT decals for Maserati's Quattroporte:

Yes it is. If ChryCo had made something more like that with a better powertrain FIAT wouldn't be acquiring them on the cheap. Instead, crap like this has rolled off their lines for years:
