I finally got around transferring some of my old VCR recordings that I made following Senna’s death. 15 years ago. Man, how time flies. It really seems like yesterday.

There is plenty of Senna footage on the net but I haven’t seen some of the clips that I captured. This is ten minutes of various media sources reporting on the accident and a few interviews that some might find interesting.
If anyone is interested in this I’ll try to find a file server to post it on (it can’t go on YouTube). (if you know of a free file server let me know)

Here’s a breakdown of what’s within the 10 minute video.

ESPN’s initial coverage of the accident and his death.

Mainstream news coverage (CNN, Headline News)
NASCAR cable show extends regrets
Emmo Fittipaldi comments
Nigel Mansell comments
ESPN funeral segment which shows huge crowds in the street watching funeral procession through Sao Paolo, casket draped in Brazilian flag on fire truck in the procession with military escort. Brazilian military firing cannon salute. Da Silva family during viewing with relative (mom?) holding his helmet. Brazilian F16 creating a smoke trail heart with an S over it. Prost, Stewart and Fittipaldi walking in the procession.
End of Monaco race two weeks after with a comment by Varsha and Speed video montage tribute.

The editing is rather choppy because I was just hitting record on the VCR whenever I caught something regarding Senna and those old VCR’s took a few seconds to actually start.
