Gee, another good reason not to shop at Target for all those great $1.18 Hotwheels cars.

You have to hand it to the guy. His ability to get other people's money into his pockets is almost Bernie-like.:\

Will she be with Chip in IndyCar or NASCAR?

Ad Age (http://adage.com/article?article_id=137186) had an interesting look at what Danica could do marketing wise for NASCAR. "Experts" predict she could have a $50 million impact on the sport.

I wonder how much relief Mikey is going to have at having her gone? I was reading that Marco and Danica got into it after the race, while Tony Kanaan sat there rolling his eyes. It might be nice for Mikey to not have to referee the children as much.

Will she be with Chip in IndyCar or NASCAR? I wonder how she and JPM would get along? NASCAR is waiting to bring her in just as soon as the shine wears off of Digger. :gomer:

It was reported on the business news that the negotiations are for NASCAR. If true, she'll bring in enough money for Chip and herself to make any embarrassment worth it.

Word is she has sponsorship in the $10+ million range lined up which is why she can pretty much chose where she wants to drive in the EARL.

You never know, some of this could be a NASCAR marketing effort.

I don't think so. Someone has to fork over a ton of money for Danica. Makes sense for Target and sponsors, but why waste money running 3-cars? Chip doesn't need Danica, Michael does. I think she'll stay or go to USF1.

I doubt even her overrated profile could draw the kind of sponsor dollars to fund an F1 team,or even just a car. And she isn't likely to be picked on talent alone.

No F1 for the Princess.

^ Considering the shambles F1 is in now, Bernie just may find use for the "domestic appliance" in his new league.:)

You'd be surprised. If someone wants to ride the PR wave Danica could bring; they might invest. Besides, think of the money they can generate on merchandising. Remember it's worldwide. You can't begin to imagine the pr & press she might get in China or Malaysia.

Kournikova was world famous and she made about 10 to 15 million dollars per year. Will Danica bring that much to an F1 team? Maybe, but that won't fund a single car,let alone finance a whole team. They're just isn't a minnow like Minardi that will sell a seat for a few sheckels(cough...Nissany...cough).

I don't think you can compare Anna and Danica. While one might say that racing has an even lower audience than women's tennis, Anna is one woman among many who got to be a fairly good. Danica is the onliest one who got to be a "winner." Not to mention that she takes off more than Anna ever did. :shakehead

If memory serves, Anna Pornikova and Martina Hingist did win a doubles grand slam title and were rated the #1 pair for a time.

I stand corrected. Didn't realize she evah got that high. Women's doubles? Mon dieux. Or is that deux?
