The list of legit female blues singers is a short one and Koko was at the top. Valerie Wellington was great and would have been a star and probably Koko's successor. Now they're both gone.

Koko performed at the Doheny Blues Festival a few years ago, and she was still awesome! Sad to lose such a treasure.
