The game eclipsed the previous record of 23 innings, set in 1971 when Louisiana-Lafayette defeated McNeese State 6-5. The game began at 7:02 p.m. EDT Saturday and concluded 7 hours, 3 minutes later at 2:05 a.m. Sunday.

Ya had to be pulling for the Utards, the only team in the playoffs with not just a losing record but a horribly losing record.
LSU was the most solid team on paper going in, wish we hadn't blown it monday night w/ those absolutely moronic substitutions on the mound and at the plate. great f'ing series though, props to them.
