This year, unfortunately, a pretty damn good game got in the way of all of the commercials.

Good ones?

Bad ones?

(for various reasons, like to trip to the urgent care facility for g., I didn't see too much of the broadcast. I'll need to catch the good stuff online. g's ok.)

1. Doritos crystal ball.
2. Cheetos pidgin bait.
3. Denny's thugs.

Biggest waste of money: Hyundai

I don't think the commercials for the SB have been very creative or funny since before the dotcom bust. It seems like the movie trailers this year are the most liked from reading around the internet.

Crystal Ball
Pepsi Bob Dylan montage
Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head/Doritos superpowers

Hated: Overstock.com with Boozer and the Go Daddy spots with Danica. "This is my 5th shower today." :yuck:

Not according to the rankings in USA Today. I thought a few of them were heinously stupid.

I was surprised at the end of the GI Joe trailer. I mean, I never thought it was GI Joe until it said it.

My choices...

1. Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head
2. Doritos Crystal Ball
3. Clydesdale Fetch
4. Clydesdale Immigration

And the Career Builder koala was ridiculously cute.

And Will Ferrell in Land of the Lost? You're kidding me, right?

If anyone missed any of the spots, Ad Age has them all posted here (http://adage.com/article?article_id=134136).

Audi's big ad last year was the best in recent memory, IMO.

What happened to the 1 second Miller Lite ad? I never saw it. Haven't heard a thing about it since...

As with most years I remember only a handful of those ads. I am so programmed from years of saturation ads during football games to tune out as soon as they even look like they are going to commercials.

I do recall and like the teleflorist career builder and speeddate taco bell ads though.

The only thing "better with Billy Corgan" would be a talking head saying, "A tragic accident rocked the music world today..."

GoDaddy tops TiVo's add ratings but I doubt folks watched for Danica.

. TiVo Highlights:

The top ten rated commercials of this year’s game were:

1. GoDaddy.com: "Enhanced?”
2. Bud Light: "Summer to Winter"
3. Careerbuilder.com: "It May Be Time"
4. Doritos: "Crystal Ball"
5. Transformers: "Revenge of the Fallen"
6. Monster.com: "Moose Head"
7. Bud Light: "Man Thrown out the Window"
8. Pepsi: "MacGruber/Pepsuber"
9. Dennys: "Thugs"
10. Coke Zero: "Mr Polamalu”

TiVo’s audience measurement analysis is based on aggregated data from a sample of approximately 30,000 anonymous households with the Emmy-award winning TiVo® service. TiVo viewership information gauges the interest in programming content by measuring the percentage of the TiVo audience watching in “play” speed.

"For a 6-foot-3 guy with no hair and a whiny voice, I've done all right."

Billy Corgan

Besides he's Irish and you know what they say... as an Irish person gets older, they're head keep growing bigger. It's true! Conan O brien talks about all the time. :)

Yea, you either love him or hate him, I think he's a good song writer and he's unique.

"1979" is still one of my favorite songs.

Barney Miller = greatest TV theme song evar. Funky beats, fat bass line and lots o' brass. Dig it.
