What is up with that? Did Honda feel threatened by the Aztek and feel the need to outdo GM in the pure ugly department? What am I missing here, is this something that I would get if I were younger and hipper?

No. It's the Element. It's missing style.

Hmm, I'd have to say the Aztek is uglier.

Barely.

Maybe.

Dood, it's totally kewl. If you can't see that, you're just whack. :shakehead ;)

I do think the Aztek and Buick Rendezvous are uglier, and at least the Element's shape is because of the room inside. The other 2 are ugly for no other reason than crappy design. Just wait until you see the Toyota Scion.

If you really want to talk about how ugly the Aztek is, you need to find a picture of the first Azteks. The ones above are after they took the awful grey plastic and made it body colored.

Even with that, the Aztek is still really, really ugly.

If you did the same thing to the Element, it might be bearable. (I've seen a black Element that isn't too ugly, because that plastic almost matches.)

Bob Lutz said it looked like an "angry kitchen appliance".

Give all those "Gen-X" Art Center College Of Design grads a new block of clay and an apprenticeship.:p

My initial reaction was that it looked a little cartoonish...but then I got reading about it (The Element). It really is a cool little truck...very versatile...I mountain bike and this would be great...the seats fold back so "car camping" is suddenly possible...this is a great vehicle to get away from it all in! And 4-wheel drive, so ski trips are possible...and if you have seen one in person they don't look bad at all. Is any one with me or is it just me and three others I have seen on the road?:gomer:

Now the Aztek is a disaster...that is ugly beyond belief and with its minivan underpinnings, who gives a crap about it?
