Don't wanna eat meat? I'm cool with that.

Want to hand me some printed material? OK, I might even glance at it.

Want to post an ad so vile and offensive that it is beyond belief?

No. :flame:

Canadians may want to skip this one.

If we're not supposed to eat animals, then how come they taste so good? :gomer:

Pretty offensive ad.

I'm going to digress but pretend this is on topic. I spent one of the best evenings of my life last night at the Wildlife Waystation in the Angeles National Forest, just north of LA. The founder gave the tour. Her comment was that PETA is very good at making companies stop using animals for research but when the company does that, where is PETA? Nowhere. And where do those animals go? Not to a zoo. They won't take them. They go to the Wildlife Waystation and other rescue organizations. Great thought there PETA (not). It boggled my mind what the Wildlife WayStation accomplishes as a private non-profit. 130 acres. 400 permanent resident animals that cannot be returned to wild or placed elsewhere. Always in need of donations, of course.

As to PETA, they keep stopping the LA Zoo from finishing its elephant area, saying the all elephants should be in the wild and besides the area is too small. So the poor, lone, elephant that is left is stuck in a tiny place waiting for the enormous habitat that is planned so he can have some buddies and some room. Thanks PETA. :flame:

Yeah elephants do so well in the wild getting poached, culled and otherwise killed on a daily basis. F'n idiots.

Who else is gonna convince women that stripping is better than a fur coat?

Getting a woman to disrobe by NOT giving her something...Brilliant!

I'm not a fan of the Teller guy from Penn and Teller but his video expose bashing PETA is fantastic. When PETA is financing people to teach school kids how to blow up kennels and building billion dollar office buildings in Norfolk VA (even animal terrorist groups need to have a nice office building) and telling you are a horrible person because you own a dog (they think all dogs should roam free. Yeah, that's all we need), you know you are dealing with radical, extremist 'moran's'. PETA should be shut down by gov.

Ethical
They get very NEAR to the point where Ethical means Vegeterian...or non-clothed
That's just not right...

Did someone already do the "People Eating Tasty Animals" joke?

Honestly. They're appalling. Trying to draw equivalence between people and animals is wrong.

Except our dogs. They're better than a lot of people. :D

Once read an article detail how PETA's whole strategy is to be so far off to the left, so unbelievably unreasonable that the "center" of the argument slowly shifts that way.

Then shortly after Tyson announced changes in its chicken farming conditions.

*******s but seemed to work in that one case

These bloody morons are trying to convince people not to buy Australian wool because we mules the sheep. Tell me, what is more inhumane-cutting and stitching the skin to remove the folds of skin or allowing bacteria, flys and other horrible things get in those folds and kill the sheep?

Someone in Peta, Ingrid Newkirk, wants to be dismembered, cooked, and scattered about after she dies.:yuck: Some of it may be stuff you'd rather not read about (http://www.peta.org/feat/newkirk/will.html) and some of it is just plain disgusting! :flame:

If she really wants to properly protest the industry then she should volunteer to take a bolt to the forehead just like the cattle. The sooner the better too.

That flyer was in direct response to the greyhound bus incident where a guy went wacko, stabbed his seat partner a bunch of times, then cut off his head and ate part of him.

Oh, I get it now...yeah that is definitely out of order...I think the PETA people are basically ok at their heart, nothing wrong with treating our food as humanely as possible, but like anything in this world, taken to extremes it loses all sense of direction and purpose...I am against fur, simply because I think the animals that were born wearing it tend to look better in it then some emaciated super-model or some botoxed gold-digger, but I have nothing against a tasty rib roast or lamb-chops either.

Seems that some folks have started turning Peta's tactics against them.
http://consumerfreedom.com/news/images/release_129a_large.jpg

Ok, so petakillsanimals.com (http://www.petakillsanimals.com) is backed by the Center for Consumer Freedom (http://www.consumerfreedom.com) which is supported mainly by restaurants, food companies, tobacco companies, and others with a vested interest in "unhealthy lifestyles". It's still funny to see PETA taken to task for their hypocrisy.

Don't even get me started. The Missus has been active in dog rescue for years; the number of so-called animal loving PETA members who refuse to adopt a shelter dog, temporarily house one, help in a transport or even take 2 hours on a Saturday to staff an adoption event is staggeringly high.

LONDON, England (CNN) -- Just because they named their new CD "Yes," does not mean that British electro-pop duo, the Pet Shop Boys, will agree to just about anything.

PETA has asked the Pet Shop Boys to change the band's name to Rescue Shelter Boys. The band has turned down a request from an animal rights group to rename itself the Rescue Shelter Boys.

If they want to do something useful they could start by going after puppy mills. Instead of legitimate breeders. The sad truth is that there are all manner of real world animal abusive situations and PETA is nowhere on any of them.

It depends. Did they make the death threats directly to Biden or did they make them to the dog breeder? This could be the first that Biden and the Secret Service are hearing of these threats.

Animals are treated much worse in most of the developing world. However I don't see them doing anything about that. I saw or have heard of crazy stuff in China. Especially the industry that gets products for traditional Chinese medicine.

The most disgusting was Bear Bile harvesting.
