It's raining and the caution is out. They've been making a poing since pre-race of showing the viewers the rain tires. We shall see what happens next. My bet is they do what they typically do and red flag the race. My hope is that they finally use the darn things. You might want to tune into ESPN2.

Did they have functioning windscreen wipers this time? Or were the drivers leaning out of the car with giant squeegees to remove the water again?

Apparently some had swifters last year. lol

Anyway, I hated the race. Far too many caution laps, for one.

I drive faster than that in the wet through the grocery store parking lot. Saw it accidently and watched about 15 seconds of it. The soundtrack was some inbred hillbilly yammering about windshield wipers.

Not pretty. I expected an entertaining race on a nice track. Rain adding to the mix. Instead it was just sad.

My little guy wanted to know "is this the longest race EVER?"

And my wife asked if they just don't know how to drive or do they not know how to drive in the rain.

Windshield wipes, fans, Rain-X, clear visors, swapping helmets, Ivory soap on the inside of the windshield, etc, etc. What happening to pulling into the pits and slapping on rain tires?

My old Saturn SL2 with Goodyear Aquatreads was unstoppable in the rain. Put me in coach. :saywhat:

Hey what year did Ranger race in champcars and with what team, did he do a full season? He did what, Atlantics, before right? Always had Tide sponsorship if I recall. I was hoping he would win it. Carl Edwards drove like an idiot, he really didn't deserve the win.

Andrew was with Conquest from 2005-2006, full seasons each. He raced in Atlantics too in 2004 for Sierra-Sierra where he won ROTY.

Ranger was second best to Ambrose in that race. Just a little passive around Edwards & Busch on restarts, but that is fully understandable. He deserved second place, while Ambrose deserved to win. But, definitely did enough to impress some people!
