Rumours have been flying about Hayden going to Ducati and he confirmed at Laguna Seca that he is talking to them.

Could it be true that Hayden is finally coming to his senses and realizing his loyalty to Honda is misplaced? It would be nice for Hayden to get out from under Repsol Honda where he has been treated like the red haired step child since his arrival. Even delivering a world title to them wasn't enough. So far Stoner is the only rider that has been able to tame the Ducati but it would be nice to see Nicky get a chance to try.

Green would be his brother. Repsol's colors are orange and white.

Nobody but Stoner has been able to ride the Ducati (contrary to all the "it's all the bike" arm chair experts), but at least Hayden wouldn't go on playing 2nd fiddle to an insect like Pedrosa.

Ducati uses Bridgestone, but there's a rumour that they're going to run a 'B' team, and that will use Michelin. It's unknown if that will mean the end of the D'Antin Pramac relationship though.

So true. Melandri has looked completely lost, and the D'Antin Pramac guys are fighting for last place every race.

I'd be interested to see him there. He really is talented, that stupid Repsol Honda is Built for a little guy (Pedrosa) who is good but is no Vale, and therefore doesn't deserve to get a former champion like Hayden pushed aside.

I think Ducati would treat him fairer, whether he would be good on that particular bike is a different story.

nice to see there's a built in excuse for when he continues his also-ran status at Ducati :)

Almost confirmed.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, SEPT 11: Nicky Hayden finally admitted what everyone has known for months; he’s leaving the Repsol Honda team for Marlboro Ducati.

Now official. I was wondering if he might go early what with the possibility of Stoner out for the last few races. I doubt Repsol would notice he was gone...:irked:

Now the big question will be can he make the Ducati dance? So far nobody but Stoner can ride it to it's full potential.
