If Ganassi hears "wind tunnel" and buys a tunnel under a mountain the mind reels at what else he might have bought....

Other people are taking a less literal approach.

Haas wind tunnel (http://jalopnik.com/cars/nascar/haas-builds-rolling-road-wind-tunnel-252670.php)

Windshear wind tunnel (http://www.windshearinc.com/)

Sauber wind tunnel (http://www.motorsport.com/photos/select.asp?Y=2003&S=F1&E=Sauber_present_wind_tunne)

He's leasing it, and his construction cost for the doors, sensors and other goodies is a lot less than the cost of a full scale rolling road wind tunnel, and he doesn't have the availability problem of Windshear (90% sold for 2008 when I looked).

I searched the threads before I created a new one... not surprisingly the OC community was already on it.

This was new to me and a pretty interesting video from August 2022:
