Thought this would be a fun thread to start here. I will lead off.

In past month or so, have bought tix for following shows

June 29 - Mark Knopfler @ Britt Fest (Jacksonville, OR)
July 10 - Foo Fighters @ Rose Garden Arena (Portland, OR)
July 11 - The Police / Elvis Costello @ Clark Cty Fairgrounds Amphitheater (Vancouver WA)
July 12 - The Police / Elvis Costello @ Gorge Amphitheater (George, WA)
Aug 3 - Steve Miller Band / Joe Cocker @ Jackson Cty Amphitheater (Medford, OR)
Aug 16 - Tom Petty / Steve Winwood @ Gorge Amphitheater (George, WA)
Aug 30 - Willie Nelson @ Jackson Cty Amphitheater (Medford, OR)

- and yes, I am gonna see "the Police" for the 2nd and 3rd time on their tour

Planning on getting tickets to Jimmy Buffet @ MGM Grand Oct 25th in Las Vegas (Be fun way to celebrate 40th B-day weekend!)

Me too....I haven't been to a concert in ages...can't see the point in lining the pockets of multi-millionaires...but for Zepp....I'd break that rule...

Saw Rush last Monday (6/9).

Seeing Return to Forever tomorrow (6/20). I have only seen Al DiMeola once, back in 1988. I have never seen the rest of this lineup and am looking forward to some awesome jazz fusion.

Nothing else on the calendar for the foreseeable concert future.

Seened last week:

Nada Surf = A++++ a must see for anyone. Excellent show, usually small venues, great music
DCFC & Rogue Wave, outdoors = C. Rogue wave put me to sleep, DCFC sucks when he don't play hard.

Who knows what's next...

Boston...they have a preferred seating plan...I got in on it...Front row right in front of Tom Scholz. It's more of a tribute band at this point with Brad gone...But watching Tom in the front row will be incredible.

Gorge Amphitheater (George, WA)

You gonna camp when you go to George in the Gorge? The place is an enigma. Every time out it still amazes me to see 20,000 people show up in the middle of nowhere.

We are seeing the same show the night before at Clark Cty Amph, so just gonna drive up there saturday afternoon, and then drive back to Portland afterwards.

Last time I "camped" there, if you count camping as sleeping in a huge motorcoach, was in 97 when I saw Tom Petty there. Camped for real for a few days in 96 during Lollapalooza

Funny, I was there for Petty in 97 as well. :D Good show

We never camped there (didn't seem like you'd get much sleep), but we have hit a nice hotel in Wenatchee and took our time coming home the next day a couple times. We've done it up and back most of the time, so I know the drive well...

I won a ticket today, to see the Police at their final show at Madison Square Garden on August 7th (Benefit concert for Public Television)

Gonna be in the pit next to the stage.

Been scrambling all day to get my flight booked for this.

Its the Police final show on their world tour, and the B-52's are going to open for them that night.

I had floor seats for the Police last summer and they were outstanding. Stewart Copland was amazing.

Next for me is going to be Type O Negative.

Was given free tix to MGMT in a couple days, but I'm not sure I feel like being The Old Guy At The Scenester Show. Gets kinda dry for a bit, but September opens up w/ Drive By Truckers + Avett Brothers, Mogwai, Built to Spill + Meat Puppets, Pinback, Okkervil River and a Black Crowes 2-nighter.

And, yes, if the Crowes can stay away from the weedhead jam crap and play rock & roll, they're a damn fine band. Saw 'em in 2000 w/ Jimmy Page and then thoroughly embarrassed Pagey.

Yes Copeland was amazing and a million times better than 2002 when I was watching him play Doors songs...but of course, this is his stuff, how can he screw up his own licks?

Boston were amazing a couple of weeks back and more than a tribute band....fantastic!

Next up for me is probably John Fogerty in August, he's playing some small venues, indian casinos.

Found out the seats we all won are in Section 111 and 119 at Madison Square Garden that day.

Stewart Copeland is the MAN. He wanted to make sure all of us Nutters were in the same section together, and as close to stage as possible.

"This is the best period of James I've ever been involved in. The band is reformed in its strongest line up, and everything feels fresh again. The response in Europe has been ecstatic and we are proud and excited to be returning to the States, where we feel we have some unfinished business." - Tim Booth

So much for the rumored Radiohead show at the Chicago Theatre Thursday night. Yorke has been sick and wants to rest his voice for Lollapalooza.

I saw them in Chicago in 1991 and it was the worst show I've ever seen.

Next show? Dunno. Wanted to see Helmet last Thursday but I was out of town.

Tony Clifton is in town this week. :D

Led Zeppelin may yet reunite and tour -- and they'd consider doing it without Robert Plant.

I'd suggest that Zep touring even with Plant is a bad idea. The reunion gig was fine and all for what it was, but the dude can't hit the notes anymore. I can't imagine how shredded his pipes would be after 10-20 shows.

And going on tour without him? Good luck with that.

I saw that tour and I tend to agree. Plant live, even at the band's peak, never equaled Plant in the studio.

Page wasn't terribly impressive at the time either. It seemed apparent that he was in it for the paycheck.

Oh, I should have added that I want to go see AC/DC here in Nov, but decided against the pre-sale tix through my FIL ($aving $$$ before our WDW trip after Thxgiving). Show sold-out in 11 minutes. :(NOTE: last time they were here circa '00, there were still seats available the week of the show.
