Crap, have they ever come up with anything on coverage? I didn't remember that they were racing this weekend or I'd have checked timing.

I'm lazy. How does that lap time compare to the last time CC was there?

Atlantics is the only good openwheel formula series left.. Let's hope Vicki can keep them going because they are the openwheel left. **** the IRL. Atlantics Forever!

Please be advised one of Atlantic's top supporters is a former CC official now in a high IndyCar position ;) who is quietly TRYING to make sure the series remains part of a feeder system. He has talked of an even stronger Atlantic entry with turbo power but hints that might have to wait until the new Indycar is decided upon as a TOO powerful Atlantic car must not embarrass an Indycar! Must maintain a proper performance gap. Also, don't forget at one time Atlantics coexisted with Indy Lights in CART so one or the other does not HAVE to disappear. Of course there is FF-2000, Mazda and BMW openwheel series now, so I hope Atlantics can position itself at the TOP of that ladder. I hear the Swift is strong and safe and should be oval adaptable if necessary, but I wouldn't want to see it race on anything bigger than The Mile. Toughest problem to overcome might be Gerry Forsythe? If he wants a 500+hp turbo-Atlantic road race series of his own I'D sure have to watch it!:D

I will not dispute that the Atlantic is slower than a ChampCar at Seca, but I must protest!!!

The current track record at Laguna Seca IS held by Bourdais, but it was set in '07.

The time is 1:05.81.

The SCRAMP staff is well aware of it! :D

Brian Frisselle said that a Star Mazda would lap quicker than the DP car he co-drove this weekend.

Seven whole seconds? About 10% difference??

My God, how did we watch those cars in the 70's and 80's and 90's and not fall asleep?
