Makes you wonder whether to laugh or cry. Could they have screwed it up any worse?

Or, cynically, don't they care as long as the "transition" teams have no chance of winning?

In another shocking development, Larry Curry has been ****-canned. Did I miss this? Haven't seen it reported anywhere else.

Oh sure, because he knew about the move that got Carp and IV moved back after qualifying so well, BUT he'll be kept on as a "consultant" for the team at Indy. :shakehead. FTG fell all over himself explaining how in his position he couldn't look the other way and was forced to take harsh action. Poor, poor Larry. Probably got a raise and more free time.

Meh. There should be plenty of 'parts' once Milkers and Roth start tooling around the track. :tony:

As far as "parts" go some of the pieces the T-Teams received simply aren't used any longer. Not like they got the latest equipment or anything. Sounds like Dallara is trying really hard but IndyCar is a fairly low priority right now.(?) Hope this gives a push toward a DP/turbo in the near future.:)

2008 heralds a new car for GP2, A1GP Formula Renault 3.5 and the introduction of the latest generation Formula 3 rules (triennially). Dallara is the exclusive chassis supplier to the first three and builds most of the F3 cars. I'd say Indycars that haven't changed parts in yonks are the least of their concerns.

 @ pchall

All that effort to produce a product no one's buying. Hard to understand.

It's elsewhere.

“Larry has been an asset to the growth and building of Vision Racing,” George said. “However, after full review of the facts surrounding the disallowance of the teams qualifying runs at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Larry and I agreed that a breach of what amounts to the teams code of conduct had occurred and as team manager he was expected to uphold a very high standard, but in this instance fell short.”

Remember when the merger happened and existing IRL teams were supposed to supply cars to CC teams to get them up to speed? Apparently LC was taking those new parts off of the cars that were earmarked to go to the CC teams and replacing them with used/old parts, then selling the new parts. That's why he got canned. source...pm

Dominguez’s Debut Delayed, PCM Puts Final Touches on the #96 Visit Mexico City Car

Just 14 days ago the PCM crew familiarized themselves for the first time with their #96 Visit Mexico City/Dallara. Since then the car has been stripped, painted, re-built before making the 3-day traverse across the country.

Mario Dominguez was scheduled to make his rookie debut today in orientation, but some last minute details kept the PCM squad from taking to the track for the first time. “Once we rolled through tech, three of the four wishbones on the car were deemed unusable by the series. These are suspension pieces that we received with our car and we were not aware these parts are no longer being used,” said team owner, Tyler Tadevic.
