...German driver Andreas Wirth is aboard the No. 88 machine from Brooks Associates Racing. Wirth competed in Atlantic in 2005 and 2006 and owns three career victories in the series.
Nice to see him back. So Bomarito, Hinch, and Wirth 1,2,3 at Long Beach?

I wish I knew that F-Atlantic had a bright future but it seems it might now be a feeder to Indy Lites. Would it help if the ALMS grabbed it? Many excellent drivers, nice cars, a great road racing formula but what's the point now? Noticed 24 at the first test, then 20 and finally 17. Wonder how many make it to Road America?:(

There will be at least 20 cars starting and maybe more added. The Atlantics are solid in backing and will be sanctioned.

They will not be a feeder to Indylights, not everyone can get signed by AGR.:p

here's more-

Markus Niemela, the young Finnish driver, has tested well for the team to date and will definitely be in the hunt at the ChampCar finale at Long Beach. The team will confirm its second driver shortly. "The solidification of the future of Atlantic has put potential drivers at ease again and we'll have a competitive pair of drivers at the opening race." reported John.
